Tatting is a Victorian art form of making lace. Think grandma's doilies and collars.

Tatting was once considered to be a lost art, but in recent years has made quite a comeback in popularity.

Tatting uses threads from as thin as hair to as thick as yarns or even ropes.

What makes the lacy rings and chains, is a series of knots, using your hands and a shuttle or needle.

Though I am accomplished in both needle and shuttle tatting, I prefer the shuttle.  I find it faster and easier to use.

I am working on a video to show how this is done. Please be patient.
